Remembering papa on father's day

little balloons in the sky for papa the day we laid him to rest

My dad is the kind of guy who never said anything harsh nor hurt my mom. He fixes my milk & tucks me in to sleep even when i was a grown up. He was even the first one to cry when i started to be independent & live on my own. He never drinks nor smokes and sang me nursery rhymes, taught me bible verses & read me bedtime stories. He is all these things & then some. But then he passed away & left us. I still weep silently when i miss him & i miss him everyday. The other day i even woke up crying cos i dreamt about him dying and still wanting to live. Just before he died on mother's day last year, his last words to mom were " I love you". Oh how i miss my dad...

144 balloons for papa

To papa Jerry, you inspire me to write & the meekest guy i know. You have been dearly missed but i know you are looking down on us with a smile. Thank you dad...

hi bianca,

i can totally relate to this. i lost my father 13 years ago. i was 15 then. until now i still miss him. but i know he and my mom are up there looking down at me and the rest of the family. we have angels in heaven now, right? in fact i was granted my wish, my daughter have the same bday as my father.

the pain won't go away no matter how long it has been. all we have to do is to uphold the values they have instilled in us that way we show that they are truly remembered.

awww cute post --

but as what most people say, there are only two things in life that are certain -- death and taxes -- so keep faith and just be strong.

cute, cute post.

I can relate too. I lost my dad 8 years ago. He made just in time for my graduation.

Hayy. Death and Change are mostly what's constant. We've got to accept them as it is.

It's not easy. But we have to.
I'm sorry about your dad, he will be missed definitely.
